Tethered high-altitude telecommunication platforms play an important role in developing modern networks. They are connected with basic station using a cable which allows to transmit electrical energy and communicate with equipment on the vehicle. One of the most important problems is connected with influence of wind which can cause oscillations of the cable. In this paper we obtain equations for movement of the cable, analyze them and solve numerically. It is found that for realistic values of parameters the influence of the wind will be perceptible, but the oscillations will be quite acceptable
