IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE SATELLITE SEGMENT OF THE INFORMATION NETWORK FOR MARITIME AND RIVER FLEETS

For the mathematical model of a global automated data processing system (ADPS) for maritime and river fleets, the use of data compression methods is proposed in order to reduce the utilization of the satellite communication channel of spacecraft and decrease the time required for transmitting source data. A structure of a user data packet within the AIS/VDES system data packet is presented, enabling the packaging of processed information for unambiguous and successful decoding of received data on the receiving side.
