Analysis of workload in a constant retrial rate M/G/1-type system

In this note we study the workload of a stationary single-server single-class retrial system with constant retrial rate by means of reduction to a buffered $M/G/1$-type system with the first exceptional service (starting each busy period). This analysis is performed in the terms of the Laplace-Stieltjes transform (LST) for the distribution of the stationary workload. The example for exponential service times is also included.
