DECT-2020 NR is a wireless standard designed for large-scale IoT networks with many devices. In these networks, a sink node gathers data from multiple sources. This paper models the DECT-2020 sink as a discrete time batch service system with batch arrivals, where data packets are processed in groups. We analyze key performance metrics such as the average waiting time and the Age of Information (AoI), which measures how fresh the received data is. Results show how batch sizes and arrival patterns affect network performance and data freshness. This model helps improve the design of efficient and timely DECT-2020 NR systems for smart and industrial applications.
